Struggling with Hip Soreness?
Many people have hip problems these days, due to the fact that people are sitting all day at work. Your hip flexors are shortened after constantly being in a seated position. This is why it is so important to stretch your hips as often as possible. This will not only help with hip mobility, but also contribute to the well-being of the rest of your legs and lower back.
Do these stretches as often as possible to improve your hip flexibility.
Lunge With Back Twist
Start with feet together, and take a step forward with one foot so you are in a staggered stance. Bend your front knee and and drop down into a lunge, keeping your back leg straight.
Place one hand on the floor, and reach the other towards the ceiling. Hold for 30 seconds, and repeat 2-3 times on both sides.
Knee-to-Chest Stretch
Lie on your back and pull your one knee to your chest, while keeping the other leg straight on the floor. Pull your right knee into your chest while keeping the left leg straight and your lower back pressed into the floor. Hold for 30 seconds, and repeat 2-3 times on both sides.
Figure Four Stretch
While lying on your back, cross your right foot over your left quad, and bend your left knee. Hold your left leg under the knee and gently pull it toward your chest. Hold for 30 seconds, and repeat 2-3 times on both sides.
While these stretches my help your hip pain, there is still always more that can be done to find a solution to your problems.
